Today’s edition of Fabulous Friday Finds is based off my recent trip to UNIQLO. If you’re unaware of the brand, UNIQLO is fast fashion retail brand from Japan that has practically conquered the world with its low price, high-quality clothing.
This post features 3 products from UNIQLO but it is NOT sponsored by them in any way. I just love these tops and baby gear.
It’s funny because 10 years ago, UNIQLO was far from popular in Japan. Owning UNIQLO clothes was like a dirty secret. In fact, dating a guy with UNIQLO in his closet was a dealbreaker for most Shibuya gals. My, how times have changed!
With that said, onto my 3 UNIQLO Summer Picks For Mom & Baby!
I’m kicking off this list with my wardrobe staple, the drape crew neck T. I first bought 3 (white, black, pink) of these tops 2 summers years ago, right as my tummy expanded during my pregnancy. 2 years later, these tops are still holding on.
I picked up another white T along with a new color, beige. While I prefer V-neck tops or button-down tops when I’m out with the monster, I can nurse comfortably in these tops. The fabric is soft and the drape crew neck T is loose-fitting and goes well with skirts, jeans cropped pants, shorts, whatever.
My first set of UNIQLO cotton mesh tanks came from my sister-in-law, so I was already familiar with them. I just needed to pick up a few extra sets because of the weather.
These mesh tank tops are practically weightless yet absorb sweat without irritating the monster’s skin. What’s more, the tag is on the outside of the tank, on the bottom right.
These come in a package of three and were on sale for 790 yen. They also come in a variety of colors: One package contains two solid colors (white & another), plus a cute pattern.
My final summer pick from UNIQLO are these soft and super strechy ¾ length and full length baby leggings. These were only 500 yen each, so naturally I put as many as I could in my basket.
I should mention that on this day, I went to UNIQLO so I could get a new drape crew neck T…and ended up leaving with 10,000 yen worth of stuff for the monster and husband (my drape Ts were only 790 yen each so…).
Back to the leggings. They come in a variety of cute and whimsical patterns that will go well with any solid color onesie. My girl can wear them all year long: As cropped pants in the spring/summer, and with long socks and boots in the fall/winter.
Is UNIQLO in your country? What are your summer must-haves? Let me know in the comments!
