I have been blogging since April of this year, though it is only recently that I decided to turn it into more than a hobby. While my guest writing projects are going extremely well, I want to bring more focus to Baby Kaiju. After all, I link to my blog on Instagram and Twitter, and links to my blog are also included in my author bios. It’s time to focus more on the blog and make it work for me. Here are 6 lessons that I learned in 6 months of blogging.
It’s hard to believe that we’re only three months away from the home stretch – completing year one with little Kaiju. She was a bit of a late bloomer, but in this month alone, she’s shown so many changes and mastery of certain motor skills. Just a few days before the 9 month mark, she surprised me by standing unassisted. It was very brief, barely for a second, but I cheered so much! I’m very happy to see all of the milestones. She’s currently got 2 and ½ teeth, with more peeking through!
The news in Japan focuses on a few topics: 2020 Olympics and Paralympics, an increase in tourists, and working women and/or getting women back into the workforce. A recent “humorous” Twitter exchange is the reason why I’m writing this piece. Not “humorous” as in “OMG! I’m screaming rn! LMFAO!!!1!” But more along the lines of, “I laugh only because I’ve run out of options.” Here’s the Tweet that started it all:
